Hanging Horses and Sidewalk Chalk
Today we christened The Dorm. Wait. That sounds bad - background - The Dorm is the new digital space at work. New (old) desks, new (old) paint, new faces and new (some re-ferbished) decorations now grace the place. And today, today we moved in and went to work. Thank goodness Ilan and I are still sitting together and Michelle is nearby. I love working with those kids. I have to say, I think this new space has a real life to it, a vibrance if you will. For my part, so far, I have hung my horse back above my desk (in its rightful place) and have done extensive research (in the free section of Craigslist of course) on how to make the rest of the space feel fun and creative. I’ll keep y’all updated on all that.
Oh! I forgot to mention the sidewalk chalk! At the end of the day, Brianna and I created a beautiful drawing welcoming everyone to The Dorm … on our chalk walls … that is right chalk walls … we have two of them. They are massive and wonderful. If you know me, you know how much I love sidewalk chalk and drawing … like a kid in a candy store.
